This four day course is designed to provide participants with a foundation of the basic knowledge of pediatric dentistry at the graduate program level. The course includes a full range of topics pertinent to the clinical proactice of pediatric dentistry.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Accurately assess when intervention is indicated in the developing dentition.
2. Recognize the signs of non-accidental trauma.
3. Properly design treatment plans.
4. Guide behavior of pediatric patients.

ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Prerequisites:

DDS, DMD or DHAT with at least several months of post training experience treating Alaska Native children as part of their daily practice.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
