CRS Version 13.0 Patch 1 was released on March 29, 2013.

Key enhancements included in CRS Version 13.0 are shown below.

  • Renamed National GPRA & PART Report to National GPRA/GPRAMA Report.
  • Logic Changes to National GPRA/GPRAMA Report Measures
    • GPRA Developmental Measures:
      • Added the following new GPRA Developmental measures: Access to Dental Service (pre-natal or nursing mother visit); Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates (Pap Smear + HPV visit); Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity
      • Deleted the following GPRA Developmental measures: Diabetes: Blood Pressure Control; Diabetic Retinopathy; Dental Sealants; Topical Fluoride; Childhood Immunizations (4:3:1:3/4:3:1:4 combo and 3 or 4 HiB); Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates (Pap Smear in past 4 years); Colorectal Cancer Screening (Revised Logic #1-HEDIS); Tobacco Cessation (Developmental Logic); Comprehensive CVD-Related Assessment; Use of High-Risk Medications in the Elderly
      • Updated HIV Screening to look for positive results in either HIV-1 or HIV-2 tests; Changed CD4 count measures to look for CD4 count within 90 days of diagnosis
      • Updated codes in the following measures: Childhood Immunizations; Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates; Cancer Screening: Mammogram Rates; Comprehensive Cancer Screening
    • Diabetes: Glycemic Control: (1) Added measure for A1c less than (>) 8. This measure is the new GPRAMA measure. (2) Deleted previous GPRA measure of A1c less than (>) 7. (3) Updated logic to look for the last A1c done on a visit if there is more than one test with results for a visit.
    • Diabetes: Blood Pressure Control: (1) Added measure for blood pressure less than (<) 140/90. This is the new GPRA measure. (2) Deleted previous GPRA measure of blood pressure less than (<) 130/80. (3) Added service code and clinic code exclusions to blood pressures used in calculation to exclude those taken in the hospital or surgery visits.
    • Diabetes: Nephropathy Assessment: (1) Deleted POV code 585.5 from ESRD definition. (2) Added CPT code 3066F to ESRD definition. (3) Added CPT codes 3060F, 3061F, and 3062F to Quantitative Urinary Protein Assessment definition.
    • Diabetic Retinopathy: (1) Excluded patients with bilateral blindness from the denominator. (2) Added measures for JVN visits, Ophthalmology visits, and Optometry visits. (3) Removed Procedure code 95.02 from Other Eye Exam definition.
    • Dental Sealants: (1) Added rate measure previously in GPRA Developmental report, with age range updated to 2-15 and age breakdowns. (2) Added age breakdown measure to existing count measure. (3) Added logic to only count 0007 code if it is not documented on the same visit as one of the ADA or CPT codes.
    • Topical Fluoride: (1) Added rate measure previously in GPRA Developmental report, with age range updated to 1-15 and age breakdowns. (2) Added age breakdown measure to existing count measure. (3) Added new codes 1208 and D1208 to Topical Fluoride Application definition.
    • Childhood Immunizations: (1) Deleted 43133 and 431331 combination measures. (2) Updated GPRAMA combo measure to look for three or four HiB. The new combo is called 4313*314. (3) Updated HiB measure to look for three or four Hib. (4) Removed current contraindications for OPV, and added "Immune Deficiency" as a contraindication for OPV. (5) Removed POV codes from contraindications for MMR and Varicella.
    • Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates: (1) Added measure for ages 25-64 with Pap Smear in the past four years, previously in GPRA Developmental report. This is the new GPRA measure. (2) Deleted previous GPRA measure of patients aged 21-64 with Pap Smear in the past three years. (3) Deleted POV codes V72.3, 795.10-16, and 795.19 from Pap Smear definition. (4) Moved POV codes V67.01 and V76.47 from Pap Smear definition to hysterectomy definition. (5) Added procedure code 68.9 to hysterectomy definition. (6) Added POV code 752.43 to hysterectomy definition.
    • Cancer Screening: Mammogram Rates: Included logic to allow for two unilateral mastectomies on the same date if the codes include both a right side modifier (RT) and left side modifier (LT).
    • Colorectal Cancer Screening: Removed measures with old logic that were previously in the GPRA report.
    • Colorectal Cancer Screening (Revised Logic #1-HEDIS): (1) Added topic and measures previously in GPRA Developmental report. This contains the new GPRA measure. (2) Updated procedure code 45.8 to 45.8* in total colectomy definition.
    • Tobacco Cessation: (1) Added topic and measures previously in GPRA Developmental report. This contains the new GPRA measure. (2) Removed measures with old logic that were previously in the GPRA report.
    • Obesity Assessment: Removed topic from GPRA report.
    • Controlling High Blood Pressure - Million Hearts: Added new topic.
    • Comprehensive CVD-Related Assessment: (1) Deleted old measures and replaced them with measures previously in GPRA Developmental report. (2) Added logic to look at Patient Goal file for lifestyle education definition.
    • Breastfeeding Rates: Changed "PART" label to "GPRA".
  • Revised logic definitions for several non-GPRA topics.
  • Added five new topics to the Selected Measures Report: Colorectal Cancer Screening (HEDIS logic), Tobacco Cessation (previous GPRA Developmental logic), Controlling High Blood Pressure - Million Hearts, Comprehensive CVD-Related Assessment (previous GPRA Developmental logic), Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Added new measures to the following topics: Diabetes: Glycemic Control, Diabetes: Blood Pressure Control, Diabetic Retinopathy, Dental Sealants, Topical Fluoride, Adult Immunizations, Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates, Goal Setting
  • Removed topics: Colorectal Cancer Screening (old logic), Tobacco Cessation (old logic), Comprehensive CVD-Related Assessment (old logic), Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP): Assessment of Oxygen Saturation
  • Removed refusal measures from several topics.
  • Added topic to the Other National Measures Report: Use of High-Risk Medications in the Elderly.
  • Removed the National GPRA & PART Height and Weight Local Data File from CRS.
  • Added the ability to run the GPRA Dashboard by a primary provider.
  • Added the ability to run the GPRA Performance report by a primary provider.
