CE Activity Types

CSC offers accreditation for the following types of educational activities that may be live, web-based or on-demand:

CE Courses

Live CE activities including courses, conferences, and workshops, take place at a specified date, time and location. These are courses that occur either in person or as live webcasts..

Regularly Scheduled Series

Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) are live CE activities with multiple ongoing sessions that are 1-2 hours in length offered weekly, monthly, or quarterly and are primarily planned by and presented to the local healthcare teams. Examples include grand rounds, journal clubs, and morbidity and mortality conferences.

Enduring Materials

An enduring material is an on-demand activity that does not have a specific time or location designated for participation; rather, the participant determines whether and when to complete the activity. The content can be accessed at any point during the lifespan of the activity and there is no specific time designated for participation. Examples include online interactive educational modules, recorded presentations, printed materials, and podcasts.
