On January 4, 1988, the Indian Health Service was elevated to a PHS Agency.  The attached delegations will update Part 1, Chapter 5, Delegations of Authority, in its entirety.

The delegations are subject to redelegation and limitations as established by the Area Directors within their delegated authorities.
