BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice is to forward a copy of the revised Delegation of Authority (DOA) to the Deputy Directors and Area Directors of the Indian Health Service (IHS) to accept gifts under Section 231 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, 42 United States Code (U.S.C.) 238, as amended, excluding gifts of real property, insofar as they apply to the functions of the IHS.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE
Remove and discard the current copies of DOA Program #7 (TN 2002-02) from your manual system binders. Insert the attached copy of the revised DOA Program #7 (TN 2004-10) in its place.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
