BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the new Part 5, Chapter 36, "Aviation Management and Safety," Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter replaces and updates the policies laid out in Circular No. 2010-01, dated August 30, 2010, to effectively administer the Indian Health Service (IHS) policy for acquiring contract aeromedical aviation services.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE
Remove the current copy of Circular 2010-01, "Aviation Management and Safety," and discard. Insert the attached copy of 5-36, "Aviation Management and Safety," IHM, including the chapter Table of Contents, in its place after 5-35, IHM. Log and file this TN in sequential order.
