BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 8, Chapter 1, "Chief Information Officer," Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter establishes the Indian Health Service (IHS) policies governing the responsibilities of the IHS Chief Information Officer (CIO) to ensure compliance with legislative- and executive-level guidance and to support the mission of the IHS.
