DA0025: Orientation to Dental Assisting - Part 1
This 3 day course is designed to offer the new, untrained dental assistant knowledge and skills needed to be an effective team member. During this course the participants will receive an introduction to the duties and responsibilities of a dental assistant principles of infection control dental terminology dental charting. In addition the Radiology Health and Safety written exam will be given. Participants can expect pre-course communication and assignments.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the role and responsibilities of a dental assistant.
2. Identify preferred learning style and appreciate the potential strengths and problems associated with that learning style.
3. Recognize the importance of infection control.
4. Understand the importance of dental radiation safety.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
