DD0026: Leadership Course: Concepts of Dental Clinic Management II
This in-person course provides dental chiefs/directors, especially newer ones, with basic guidance on dental clinic management including evaluating efficiency and effectiveness, budgeting, general personnel management, and managing people skills.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Develop a plan to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of clinical care;
2. Understand business principles of dentistry to maximize collections and use those funds to improve patient care; and
3. Describe principles and methods for human resource development as applied to self- and staff-development.

The Indian Health Service Division of Oral Health (IHS DOH) is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. IHS DOH designates this activity for 25.00 continuing education credits.
Participants should be service unit or tribal dental chiefs or directors, or Area Dental Officers or Headquarters dental staff.
Title V compacted programs should send $250.00 per student to:

Tuition is required only for staff from Title V Compact programs, and is required at least 2 weeks prior to the course.
Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
