Influenza

Seasonal influenza is a respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that can easily spread to other people, causing mild to severe illness and at times can lead to death. The flu primarily attacks the lungs, nose and throat. Young children, older adults, pregnant women, and people with chronic disease or weak immune systems are at higher risk for severe illness and complications.
