Notice to Rescind Indian Health Manual, Part 3, Chapter 10, Preventive Health

This notice rescinds Indian Health Service (IHS) Indian Health Manual (IHM), Part 3, Chapter 10, “Preventive Health.” This chapter was established in 1967 and is no longer relevant. Many requirements identified within the chapter must be removed. Medicine and the recommendations in the policy have evolved greatly since the late 1960s. The IHS is removing this policy in its entirety from active circulation until it can be revised and reissued.

Please discard your binder copies and any file copies of IHM, Part 3, Chapter 10, “Preventive Health,” at your earliest convenience.
