This notice rescinds Indian Health Service (IHS) Indian Health Manual (IHM), Circular 2009-01, “Headquarters Indian Health Service Personal Identity Verification Card,” dated May 4, 2009.  This Headquarters policy has been replaced by the new national policy IHM, Part 5, Chapter 30, “Homeland Security Presidential Directive – 12,” February 28, 2024.

Please discard your copies and any file copies of IHM, Circular 2009-01, “Headquarters Indian Health Service Personal Identity Verification Card,” at your earliest convenience.
