"Notice to Rescind Indian Health Service, Indian Health Manual, Circular No. 90-04, "Clearance of Publications on Dietary Guidance"

During an Indian Health Service (IHS) policy review, the Office of Clinical and Preventive Services identified the following policy that must be rescinded for the individual reasons listed.

This notice rescinds IHS Indian Health Manual (IHM), Circular No. 90-04, “Clearance of Publications on Dietary Guidance,” dated May 9, 1990. The Subcommittee on Dietary Guidance of the Department of Health and Human Services Nutrition Policy Board that required this guidance is no longer active, and the requirements have become obsolete. This Headquarters circular has been determined to be outdated and no longer necessary.

Please discard your copies and any file copies of the above-listed IHM policy at your earliest convenience.
