Authority Delegated and to Whom

1. Pursuant to the authority delegated to the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS) by the Director, Division of Commissioned Personnel, Program Support Center, on December 12, 1995, I hereby delegate to the Director of Headquarters Operations the authority to approve actual expense allowance requests for Public Health Service (PHS) commissioned officers in accordance with paragraph U4210, Chapter 4, of the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR).

Redelegation and Restrictions

2. The authority delegated above may be redelegated with additional redelegations authorized to the appropriate level. However, the authority must be exercised by an official higher than the employee's immediate supervisor.

Information and Guidance

3. This authority must be exercised in accordance with the guidance set forth in the most current edition of the JFTR.

Effective Date

5. This delegation is effective upon date of signature.
