BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the Part 8, Chapter 23, "Resource and Patient Management System Network," Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter establishes Indian Health Service (IHS) policies and procedures that govern use of the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) Network. It includes guidance for IHS, Tribal, and Urban health programs participating in the Master Patient Index, Health Information Exchange, Personal Health Record, RPMS Direct Messaging, and access to the eHealth Exchange.
