IHS Patient Registration and Patient Benefits Coordination Training

Description

A national IHS Patient Registration and Patient Benefits Coordination Training will be conducted on March 12-14th in Reno, NV.  The intended audience is staff, including managers, who are directly responsible for patient registration and/or patient benefits coordination functions within the Indian Health Service, Tribal Health Programs Operated under P.L. 93-638, and Urban Indian Health Programs.  This may include staff from the Business Office, Purchased/Referred Care, Health Information Management, and/or other departments.

The training is sponsored by the Indian Health Service, Office of Resource Access and Partnerships and is being coordinated in partnership with the IHS National Business Office Committee.  A draft agenda is attached.  Please note that times, topics, and presenters may be subject to change.  A final agenda will be e-mailed to all registered attendees when it becomes available.

Registration will be available for in-person participation and virtual participation through Zoom.  To register, please complete the attached registration form and submit to IHSNBOCTraining@ihs.gov.  

The training will be held at The Peppermill Reno Hotel located at 2707 South Virginia Street, Reno Nevada, 89502.  Using the room block to make reservations will ensure the resort fee is waived and the government rate is applied.   Lodging at the government rate must be booked through the room block by Friday, February 9^th, 5pm PST.
