The Indian Health Service (IHS) invites you [PDF -23KB] to join us for an additional virtual Tribal Consultation session specific to $3.5 billion appropriated to the IHS in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. No. 117-58 (November 15, 2021), for the IHS Sanitation Facilities Construction program. 

To date, we have held an informational session and two virtual Tribal Consultation sessions to provide an overview and seek your input regarding the allocation of $210 million in additional funding to the IHS from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Pub. L. No. 117-2, 135 Stat. 4 (March 11, 2021), $3.5 billion appropriated to the IHS in the IIJA, Pub. L. No. 117-58 (November 15, 2021), and $2.35 billion currently under consideration by Congress in the Build Back Better Act, H.R. 5376, 117th Cong. (2021).  The three new funding sources are described in a November 22, 2021-dated letter to Tribal Leaders [PDF – 594KB].
