The incumbent provides comprehensive nursing care and/or patient services in a clinic or ambulatory care setting, and assists physicians and patients. |
| Duties: | This position is within the Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care, to include Sells Hospital, San Xavier Health Center, Santa Rosa Health Center and San Simon Health Center, in the Division of Purchase Referred Care as assigned. This position involves providing case management to patients. The employee to the Purchased Referred Care Division and works under general supervision of the Director of Purchase Referred Care. |
| Qualifications: | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate's Degree in Nursing. • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. • Current and unrestricted license as a professional nurse in a State of the United States of America. • Two years nursing experience in a clinical setting as a registered nurse. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Current and unrestricted license as a professional nurse in a State of the United States of America. • Must have a current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED). • Must have a current immunization statement to include, proof of non-reactive tuberculosis skin test within the last year, proof of immunity for hepatitis B (Documentation of immunization does not prove immunity, only a titer with a positive result is proof), within three months of hire. • Upon recommendation for hire a criminal background and National FBI fingerprint check is required to determine suitability for hire. • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license (no DUIs or major traffic citations within the last three years). • Must submit a 39-month driving record with employment application. • Must meet the Tohono O'odham Nation tribal employer's insurance requirements to receive a driver's permit to operate program vehicles. • Based on the department's needs, incumbents may be required to demonstrate fluency in both the Tohono O'odham Language and English as a condition of employment. |
