Summary: Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is looking to add a Physician Assistant to our team. Patient care will have an emphasis on chronic health issues. Duties: Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures Assists Medical staff in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs Recognizes abnormal findings and treats or refers to physician for further evaluation and/or treatment Provides education to patients and families Prepares comprehensive patient care plan with physician and other health professionals Prescribes or recommends medications Determine if a referral is needed to specialty services or ancillary services
Qualifications: Job Requirements: Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position. OKCIC requires the Covid Vaccine prior to employment Must be a graduate of a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant   Must possess a clear unencumbered Oklahoma PA license in good standing with the Oklahoma Medical Board Must possess a clear DEA and OBNDD registration  Board certified, or documentation of eligibility if in the process of obtaining board certification 2 or more years of experience in public health, community health or outpatient setting
