Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Planning, managing, organizing and maintaining the medical records department; conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of patients records to ensure required components are present; directly supervising, recommending awards, resolving minor grievances, complaints, and reviewing performances; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and medical procedure and diagnoses; preparing estimates and administering the yearly staffing and operating plans for the Health Information Management department; coordinating medical record corrections, amendments, and restrictions in compliance with HIPPA policies and procedures OR a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
