Summary: Lead Physical Therapist Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Lead Physical Therapist to our team! Our Lead Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties. The Lead Physical Therapist supervises other Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistants. Ideal candidate would be creative an and innovative thinker.
Duties: Supervises all Physical Therapy  staff and Patient Relations rep. Reviews physician's referral (prescription) and patient's condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required. Tests and measures patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs. Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data and the patient's goals. Administers manual therapy to improve and maintain function. Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities; may employ use of supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Administers treatments involving application of physical agents. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Administers massage to injured area if restricting patient's functional ability. Administers manual traction to decrease pain. Records treatment, response, and progress in patient's electronic health record (EHR) Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modification to Orthotist. Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care. Plans and develops physical therapy research programs and participates in conducting research. Coordinates with all departments and senior leadership in regards to the physical therapy department. Responsible for and oversees all PT programs and projects
Qualifications: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed by and in good standing with the Oklahoma State Medical Board.  3 or more years of experience in public health, community health or outpatient setting.  Minimum of 2 years in a Physical Therapy supervisory role. Electronic Health Record experience required. Current CPR.
