Reporting Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Mismanagement

The IHS hotline number is to report fraud, waste and abuse. IHS employees and others with information should be aware that there are multiple channels to elevate any concern they might have regarding fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement in the Indian health system.  IHS employees answer calls on weekdays (excluding federal holidays) and employees or others may leave a message and someone will return their call.  Information may also be reported anonymously. The number is (301) 443-0658.  There is an option to submit reports online at https://www.ihs.gov/reportFraud/ or through the HHS Office of Inspector General Exit Disclaimer: You Are Leaving www.ihs.gov  website. You may also report information through the Office of Inspector General (OIG) hotline at (800) 447-8477.
