COVID-19 Booster Eligibility Update

COVID-19 booster shots are now recommended for everyone ages 12 and older, 5 months after completing a Pfizer vaccine primary series, 6 months after completing a Moderna vaccine primary series, or 2 months after receiving a single dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine. At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine is authorized and recommended as a booster for adolescents aged 12-17. Studies show that after getting a COVID-19 vaccination, protection against the virus and the ability to prevent infection with variants may decrease over time.
