The White Earth Service Unit is comprised of the White Earth Health Center and two satellite facilities in Naytahwaush and Pine Point. As a rural ambulatory care service unit, our clinics offer a range of clinical and preventive services, with various offices dedicated to different aspects of health management and community outreach. We take pride in our partnerships with The White Earth Nation, providing our patients with comprehensive services and support to aid in optimal health. In 2024, White Earth Service Unit celebrated 137 years of comprehensive medical services to federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native people and their descendants living in or visiting the service area. Each year, White Earth Service Unit serves over 7,000 patients for primary and preventative care from infancy to adulthood.

Over the last three years, White Earth Health Center has undergone an exciting modernization expansion and remodel project. A new clinic in Naytahwaush was built on July 17, 2023. The new Waabinokwe Health Center was a joint venture construction project with the White Earth Tribal and the first completed in the Bemidji Area IHS. Both White Earth and Waabinokwe Health Centers have pharmacy drive-thrus after the remodel and new construction.

The White Earth Service Unit is an accredited facility by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) demonstrating a clinic-wide effort to maintain the highest standards of care. The clinics continues to improve its healthcare delivery model. By adopting a “Patient Centered Medical Home” and “Patient Centered Dental Home” approach, quality comprehensive care is provided by Care Teams. Care Teams are led by a provider or dentist, with the patient and their family being the focus and an integral part of the Team. Experience has shown that this approach improves both patient and staff satisfaction, as well as improves health outcomes.
