DE0268: Diabetes Online CDE: Course Title: Diabetes in Urban American Indian and Alaska Native People: Urban Diabetes Care & Outcomes Summary Report, 2014-2018
This presentation will provide an overview of the Urban Diabetes Care & Outcomes Summary Report, 2014-2018, better known as the 2018 Urban Diabetes Audit. Key findings from this report will be shared and recommendations for the follow-up and care of urban AI/AN patients with diabetes will be discussed.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Use the 2018 Urban Diabetes Audit with an understanding of the Audit contents, capabilities, and limitations.
2. Identify the uses and practical applications of the data available through the 2018 Urban Diabetes Audit.
3. Use the 2018 Diabetes Audit to identify strengths and address gaps in diabetes care and outcomes for urban AI/AN patients with diabetes.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
