This webinar is specifically developed for dental staff from IHS, tribal, and urban programs in the Oklahoma City, Bemidji, and Great Plains Areas. However, this recorded webinar is open to everyone for CDE credit.

This seminar will provide a status update of COVID-19 along with discussion of epidemiological factors which contribute to emerging and re-emerging diseases. The most recent information describing clinical progress leading to [an] effective COVID-19 vaccine[s] will also be featured. In addition, recommended HBV and influenza vaccines will be discussed as infection prevention strategies to address dental occupational bloodborne and respiratory risks.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Understand current science-based information pertaining to SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 pandemic
2.   Describe major global and epidemiological factors which can lead to the emergence and re-emergence of infectious diseases
3.   Discuss current progress and clinical information regarding COVID-19 vaccines

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
