Summary:

This seminar describes the evidence, experiences and outcomes from a variety of work that has been done to reduce the impact of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. The seminar invites health team members to develop plans to incorporate evidence based clinical, pharmaceutical and lifestyle intervention activities into their care for patients at risk for diabetes.

Learning Objectives:

1.   Describe the burden of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes in the United States.
2.   Identify modifiable risk factors for type 2 diabetes.
3.   Implement effective strategies for reducing diabetes risk.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
