DE0251: Diabetes Online CDE: Liver Disease and Diabetes
This presentation will provide an overview of the association between diabetes/insulin resistance, the metabolic syndrome, and chronic liver disease [NAFLD, NASH, cirrhosis]. There will be a discussion of the diagnostic and treatment challenges posed by these diseases of the liver, including “pearls” to assist with managing fatty liver disease in primary care settings.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe prevalence of liver diseases in high risk populations.
2. Outline indications for liver biopsy and hepatology referral in patients with NAFLD.
3. Improve care and management of patients with liver disease and diabetes.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
