DE0277: Diabetes Online CDE: Course Title: Beyond PubMed: Finding Clinical Literature on Diabetes
Scientific papers are often a source of invaluable data, statistics, and conclusions, yet are often difficult to locate. This workshop is for those who want to become knowledgeable in finding credible diabetes research information in published and unpublished literature often found in PubMed and other databases. This session will provide clinicians with basic information for finding, understanding, and applying clinical literature findings to daily practice.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Learning Objective 1: Discuss elements of literature evaluation needed in medical publication dissection.
• Learning Objective 2: Interpret important features of sound medical literature.
• Learning Objective 3: Identify the benefits, challenges, and guidelines for finding and using grey literature.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
