DE0674: 2022 OCA/BEM & GP Quarterly Area Dental Meeting [Recorded Webinar]
The Oklahoma City, Bemidji, and Great Plains Areas- IHS Oral Health Quarterly Dental Meeting will provide two continuing dental education courses that provides the overview of Community Health Representatives [CHR] and CHR community-based oral health outreach events, and the successful techniques of anesthesia injections for dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental front office, and other healthcare professionals throughout Oklahoma City, Bemidji and Great Plains Area.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Describe at least three roles and functions CHRs/CHWs have to address preventive oral health.
2. Identify one new strategy to engage patients and communities to improve patient health relations to oral health education.
3. Review delivery techniques for five injectable sites.
4. Identify reasons for anesthesia failure.

The Indian Health Service Division of Oral Health (IHS DOH) is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. IHS DOH designates this activity for 4.00 continuing education credits.
Must be staff of the Oklahoma City, Bemidji, or Great Plains Areas.
Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
