Summary:

This 60 minute training will provide examiners and potential examiners of the 2022-2023 Oral Health Survey of 6-9 year-old AI/AN Children the details on how to conduct the screenings in both schools and clinics. This training is required for sites selected to be a part of the sample, while other programs who wish to participate in the surveys may also join. This webinar will be recorded.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this training/course, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the two sampling frames for this year's survey and the rationale for these two methodologies;
2. Explain logistical issues that need to be addressed when working on school-based samples; and
3. Distinguish between cavitated and non-cavitated lesions.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
