Summary:

With the focus on FY2023 co and FY2022 mini-grant recipients, the two two-hour courses will emphasis environment, lifestyle choices and genetics are directly correlated with brain health. What is not being taught is how making choices and taking action can assist with the maintenance of brain function, as well as increase quality of life, health span and longevity and the outcomes of various oral health programs presented within our AI/AN communities.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Understand the role of the dental hygienist/dental team in assisting patients maintain brain health.
2.   Have conversations with patients regarding the connection between oral and brain health.
3.   Recognize outcomes and results of mini-grant initiative.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
