Summary:

This IHS Oral Health Quarterly Dental Meeting of Oklahoma City, Bemidji, and Great Plains areas will provide continuing dental education courses for dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental front office, and other healthcare professionals throughout Oklahoma City, Bemidji and Great Plains Area. Summary of sessions are a potpourri of oral pathology cases focusing on oral mucosal white lesions, desquammative gingivitis, two infectious diseases, oral pathology cases focusing on oral mucosa red lesions, and oral mucosal blue lesions will be presented.

Title: “Leukoplakias” & Erosions & Ulcers, Oh My!
Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1]   Provide an appropriate differential diagnosis for an oral mucosal white lesion.
2]   Clinically differentiate between reactive and potentially premalignant oral mucosal white lesions.
3]   Define leukoplakia.
4]   Define desquamative gingivitis.
5]   Provide an appropriate differential diagnosis for oral pathologies that present with desquamative gingivitis.
6]   Recognize the oral manifestations of certain infectious diseases.

Title: Lesions Are Red, Lesions Are Blue
Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1]   Describe the different clinical presentations of oral mucosal red lesions.
2]   Provide an appropriate differential diagnosis for an oral mucosal red lesion.
3]   Describe the different clinical presentations of oral mucosal blue lesions.
4]   Provide an appropriate differential diagnosis for an oral mucosal blue lesion.
5]   Define diascopy and know when to perform this clinical test.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
