Summary:

This is a recorded webinar of the Oklahoma City-Bemidji-Great Plains 2020 Area Dental Meeting, which was offered over 5 sessions in August 2020.

The third session was entitled: “Creating Personal Radiance and Resilience: The Magic of Mindfulness, Movement, and Meditation”

Our lives are full- often presenting us with daily energy draining changes and challenges! The fast-paced living, busy-ness, overwhelm and stress can take its toll– with negative impacts on our energy, effectiveness, enjoyment of life and our resilience to illness and dis-ease. The effects of stress and doing too much can, and will seductively and destructively impact your whole well-being-physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
This session will provide you with a ‘medicine bag’ of tools for self-care for creating your personal radiance and resilience from the inside-out. You will learn simple and practical ways to nurture key aspects of your whole well-being while growing in balance, both personally and professionally.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   How knowing and understanding your predominant ‘Stress Nature’™ can improve the effectiveness of your self-care choices.
2.   How to consciously shift your day to day rush and worry to present moment awareness and how mindfulness can improve health and balance in the seven essential dimensions of well-being.
3.   Simple movements and breathing practices that immediately counteract the effects of stress while increasing energy, vitality, strength and flexibility, and how the practice of yoga and mindful body movement can help us “flow” through the challenges of life more easily.
4.   Short and simple meditation practices that can improve how you think, what you think, what you choose and how much you enjoy life.
