DE0967: Advancements in Diabetes Webinar: Expanding Access to the National Diabetes Prevention Program in Indian Country
Speakers from the Division of Diabetes Translation at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] will provide an update on activities to expand access to the National Diabetes Prevention Program [National DPP] lifestyle change program across Indian Country with an emphasis on the long history of contributions from American Indian and Alaska Native individuals in helping to shape the science that supports the program.
As a result of completing this training, participants will be able to:
1. Examine the National Diabetes Prevention Program [National DPP] and the Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program [DPRP].
2. Describe Discuss efforts to expand access to the National DPP lifestyle change program across Indian Country, including the development of culturally adapted program curricula and training materials.
3. Identify resources that provide more information about the National DPP.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
