Summary:

The IHS mission is a responsibility to provide comprehensive healthcare: “to raise the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level.” This course presents the ADA CDT 2025 code updates including 10 new codes; 8 revisions; and 2 deletions; Recommendations for CDT to ICD-10 code ‘linking’ and review of current “Conditions” codes. Also reviewed are the still active IHS Tracking codes and recommendations for appropriate use of multiple common CDT codes. This presentation will also touch on balancing coding for Productivity, Efficiency and Effectiveness in the unique scenario of the Indian Health Service.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Select the most appropriate ADA CDT Exam code to use for various types of dental examination scenarios
2.   Explain how to link CDT codes to ICD-10 codes and create a ‘short list’ of alternate ICD-10 codes.
3.   Understand the relationship between ‘coding’ Productivity, Effectiveness and Efficiency measures and ‘data’

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
