Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws [MRONJ] continues to be a challenging and enigmatic condition for dentists, physicians and health care providers. This talk provides a contemporary update on MRONJ, including its pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and staging, and management. Attendees will gain a practical and real-world approach to management of patients at risk for, and with a diagnosis of MRONJ.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this lecture the participant will be able to:
1.   Recognize the epidemiology of MRONJ and how to conduct a risk assessment
2.   Understand the principles of MRONJ diagnosis and staging according to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons [AAOMS]
3.   Be able to provide basic management for MRONJ according to stage and therapeutic principles

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
