October is National Dental Hygiene Month. Oral health is an important part of overall health. That’s why it’s important to brush every day, and also to get regular checkups and cleanings at the dentist’s office. There are more than 400 dental hygienists that work in the IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health programs, providing patient care, education, and community outreach.
