Mandatory Privacy Training Requirements

The IHS Mandatory Privacy Training must be completed annually by IHS employees, volunteers, students, and contractors. Each training module includes a 10 question Knowledge Check that must be successfully completed. Upon completion, users may print a Training Certificate for their records. Training completion is electronically tracked and monitored.

Accessing Mandatory Privacy Training

An IHS Web Account is required to access the Mandatory Privacy Training system.

If you already have an IHS Web Account:

Click "Login" in the upper-right corner of the page.
Enter your IHS Web Account username and password.

If you do not have an IHS Web Account:
Click "Register" in the Login window and follow the instructions to create an account. An IHS Web Account may be created by anyone who needs access to the Mandatory Privacy Training system.

If you forgot your password:
Click "Forgot Password" in the Login window and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Important:
The IHS Privacy Program cannot reset IHS Web Account usernames or passwords. Please use the account recovery options available in the Login window if you are unable to access your account.

Important Account Information

Non-IHS users:
If you are not an IHS employee, use a personal email address when registering for an IHS Web Account.
Managing your account:
After logging in, you may update your profile or password by selecting "Edit Profile" or "Change Password" in the Login window.
Government system warning:
The Login window displays the standard WARNING banner required for access to IHS government information systems. By proceeding, you acknowledge the terms and conditions stated in the warning.
Password assistance:
You have three attempts to enter your password correctly before your account may be locked. If you do not remember your password, use "Forgot Password" rather than making repeated login attempts.

Reminder:
The IHS Privacy Program cannot reset usernames or passwords. Please use the account recovery options provided in the Login window for assistance with account access.
