Description:
This course is for Radiology personnel working with RPMS Radiology 5.0 and/or Health Information System staff assigned responsibility of ensuring that the local RPMS RAD/NUC MED system functions correctly.
The course will cover imaging menu options for the requesting of procedures, registering patients for radiology procedures, editing/casing exams, entering draft reports, verifying, and printing reports.
The site-configurable options for setting up the Radiology package at a facility will be covered as will the linkages to PCC, the Women’s Health Package, EHR, and Third Party Billing.
Objectives include:
Document a Radiology procedure in RPMS beginning with a request for a procedure and ending with an exam in PCC and a claim in IHS Third Party Billing.
Configure files for reports, Radiology personnel, Radiology Division, Radiology Location, Exam Rooms, Film Sizes, Diagnostic Codes, Procedures, Common Procedures and Examination status.
Set up default printers for Radiology Requests and Reports.
Run workload reports as well as other Radiology reports for quality assurance and
program management.
Define the linkages to PCC, Third Party Billing, and Women’s Health.
Perform basic troubleshooting using menu options for exam status tracking and patient profile.
Review radiology interfaces and the VistA Imaging applications available for RPMS/EHR.
Intended Audience:
This class is suitable for Radiology Department staff and IHS personnel who will be assisting in configurations and maintenance of staff classification, print devices, radiology files, and interfaces for Imaging Departments.
Details:
This is an eLearning/hands-on session: Instructor-led demonstration and hands-on via web and phone. If on the D1, participants will be provided access to an OIT training environment. If not on the D1 participants will require access to a local training environment. Participants may join from their home site with phone and computer/internet access. This session is 1030-630E, 930-530C, 830-430MT, 730-330P, 630-230AK daily.
