The purpose of the VA-IHS BCMA CFT is to address the goals and objectives identified in the CFT Charter and establish an operational relationship. The CFT will assist and guide implementation and operational use of BCMA in IHS and Tribal healthcare facilities.

Description:
Bar Code Medication Administration [BCMA] assistive technology is a software application used by the Veterans Health Administration [VHA] facilities to document medication administration activities and reduce medication errors. The primary purpose of this BCMA training activity is to address Nursing and Pharmacy processes and issues as well as the necessary collaborative effort involved to implement and effectively use the BCMA v3.0 application. Target audience includes [a] the BCMA Training & Implementation Team, [b] BCMA End Users, [c] BCMA Super Users, and [d] BCMA Coordinators.
