Summary:

Immunizations are important for keeping people of all ages healthy. Specific immunization needs are determined by factors such as age, lifestyle, health conditions, locations of travel, and previous immunizations. This seminar will address the specific immunization needs of adults generally, as well as the needs of adults with diabetes. Comprehensive information on immunization recommendations, schedule, and documentation will also be provided.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1.   Provide patients with education regarding changes and updates in recommended adult immunizations.
2.   Discuss specific immunization recommendations for people with diabetes, and their importance to overall health.
3.   Utilize tools in the RPMS system to improve the delivery of immunizations and monitor immunization coverage among adults.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
