Summary:

This presentation is designed to disseminate current research and practical perspectives on National Lpidemia Association and Indian Health Services dyslipidemia guidelines, familial hyperlipidemia, statin intolerance, overview of acute coronary syndrome, exercise and post prandial lipemia, and recognition of exercise-induced cardiac arrhythmias.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the various categories of dyslipidemia particularly familial hyperlipidemia
2. Examine the definition of statin intolerance and it's management particularly in high cardiovascular disease risk patients
3. Describe the cardiovascular risk of prolonged post high-fat meal lipemia and the influence of premeal exercise

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
