The HIM Program highly recommends that managers and supervisors of HIM programs be credential as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). Credentialed HIM professionals ensure the HIM competency to support the various complexities of the legal health record, health information technology, privacy and reimbursement.
