DE0055: Pre-Conception Care and Education for Women with Diabetes - Diabetes Online CE [recorded webinar - read summary on how to access]

This seminar will provide an overview of the prevalence of pre-gestational type 2 diabetes along with health outcome implications and risks. Evidence based information and ADA standards for patient care and education will be discussed.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Provide women with type 2 diabetes with education about the importance of glycemic control and the risks of poor control in pregnancy, especially early pregnancy.
2. Describe strategies to reduce unintended pregnancy in women with diabetes.
3. Identify one change you can make in providing pre-conception care and education for women with type 2 diabetes.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course.
