DE0066: 2017 California Area Continuing Dental Education Conference






This annual conference is the only opportunity for dental staff from California Area dental programs to meet. The conference is put together with the advice of the California Area Dental Advisory Committee which is composed of dentists representing geographic regions of California, as well as a dental hygienist and a dental assistant. The committee selects relevant topics that will increase the skills of dental staff and improve oral health outcomes for the AI/AN patient population.
At the conclusion of this meeting, participants will be able to:
1. Improve clinical skills and knowledge in California Area Tribal and Urban dental settings;
2. Utilize a public health approach in providing oral health services to AI/AN patients; and
3. Provide oral health care in a culturally appropriate manner.
It is the policy of the Indian Health Service, Division of Oral Health, that faculty/planners disclose any financial or other relationships with commercial companies whose products may be discussed in the educational activity. Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
