Summary:

For Portland Area dental staff only.

This course will provide the most recent Baby Teeth Matter [BTM] data, provide new information on how to incorporate minimally-invasive dentistry for 1-5 year old children, and conclude with goal setting and writing PDSAs for the coming quarter.

Learning Objectives:

1. List one area where your dental program is meeting its objectives in the BTM Collaborative and one area where you would like to improve this coming year.
2. List 3 strategies to incorporate minimally-invasive dentistry into your dental program.
3. Write 2-3 PDSAs to increase dental access and decrease referrals to private pediatric dentists for 0-5 year olds.

Prerequisites:

Tuition is due only from staff from tribal programs that have taken their HQ dental shares. Tuition Payment is due at least 30 days prior to the start of the course. Please submit tuition payment to the address on the Tuition Payment Form [obtain the form by contacting IHSCDECoordinator@ihs.gov] or downloading from this site.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
