Selecting appropriate pre-established notes in a templated format to create a summary Clinical Note ensures consistent documentation of procedure steps, materials used, patient consent and interaction, and significantly reduces typing errors when compared to free-text typing each Clinical Note without any guidelines. This process also ensures appropriate abbreviations, dental terms and phrases are used to comply with regulations and reduce time required for Clinical Note preparation. With clinical note templates, providers are far more likely to maintain a comprehensive, detailed and accurate Clinical Note record with using clicks of the mouse.
