Summary:

This course, part of the ongoing Grand Rounds CE Lecture Series at the Kayenta Health Center, is a one-hour presentation describing the relationship between dentistry and medical care. This course is open to staff at the Kayenta Service Unit only.

Learning Objectives:

As a result of participating in this activity, the healthcare team will:
1. Recognize the disease patterns of dentistry.
2. Describe the inter relationship of oral disease to systemic disease and certain medications.
3. Implement a standard of care for prescribing medications and care options that affect patient healthcare.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
