Neurologic complications of diabetes are frequent. While the majority of the talk will focus on the most common issue of painful and painless polyneuropathy, it will also touch on autonomic neuropathy, mononeuritis multiplex, polyradiculopathy, and cranial neuropathies. This session will provide an overview of diagnosis and treatment of these issues, and will help encourage health care providers to connect patients with the resources available to maximize their health. This course is being offered live on 1/30/19 but will be available online for three years.

Learning Objectives:

1.   Identify treatment goals and therapies for diabetic neuropathies.
2.   Educate patients with diabetes about preventing diabetic neuropathy.
3.   Describe a basic neurologic exam.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
